Peak Experience has gathered on these pages an extensive series of self-guided trails for you to download onto your computer. There are PDF trails to print and audio trails to listen to. All will enable you to explore some of the themes of the Peak Experience guides in beautiful locations throughout the Peak District.

Walk with a print run

There are PDF trails that you can print at home. You will find the ongoing series of Peak Experience trails as well as trails from other organisations that we think you will enjoy.

There are also a number of leaflets which give details of programmes of guided walks, introduce different parts of the Peak District or explain specific aspects of the region's heritage.

Take your mp3 player for a walk

Or if you prefer to listen to a guide there are mp3 audio trails that you can copy from your computer to your iPod, mp3 player or mobile phone.

Left home without a guide?

We have recently installed a 'download centre' at Castleton Visitor Centre. This enables you to download audio trails and podcasts onto your mp3 player and some mobile phones by either connecting your device to the USB port or iPod docking station, or inserting your memory card into the multi-card reader. You can print one of our series of PDF print-on-demand trails, including children's activity sheets, as well as accompanying maps to the audio trails.

The download centre is only the second in the country. So, if you are visiting Castleton, don't forget your iPod or mp3 player!
